Jack - Glad to see that at least one of the old crew from Hickam in the late 70s made it back "home." Keep up the good work.

Wonderful site! I spent 13 months at K-55 back in '63-'64 with the 6314th Transron, Det. 1 (commonly called the 2nd Mule Train). We toted supplies and rations to the various small USAF microwave relay sites, both on the mainland and the offshore islands, sush as Cheju do and P-Y-do. Loaded our AF trucks on Army LCU boats at Inchon Harbor (who'd have guessed the Army had a Navy?) Anyway, I enjoyed Korea, and was fortunate to see much of it, from Kangnung to Puson, and all points in between.

A very informative site! I'm planning to visit a nephew stationed at Camp Casey, sometime in late Feb or early March 2005. This will be my first trip as a retiree going overseas, attempting my first hop (from Travis AFB, CA) so any and all help would be appreciated. I was told there's an R&R Center/Hotel in Seoul, similar to the Hale Koa Hotel in Honolulu. If you can give me their website, I'd sure appreciate it. My plan is to hop to Osan (if there's planes from Beale AFB or Travis AFB) and have my nephew meet me in Seoul for a week of sightseeing. I don't know if I would be allowed to go up to Camp Casey?? Anyway, this is a very good site and I appreciate any help you can give me on my anticipated (and sorta "nervous" first trip outside CONUS, for many years.) Thanks!

Very informative site. I need to remember to read it often. Much hard work has gone into the creation of this site. I, for one, appreciate everything you have done for the retirees here in Korea.

Great site. I was stationed at OSAN 84/86 with the 51st SPS and 89/92 with the 6903 ESG/SP (IYAS9YAS). I have not been back since, but would almost do anything to return. This site brought back so many good memories. These were some of the best times of my life. Outstanding web site I will book mark it and return to on a regular basis.

Sorry to hear that the base cannot provide you with a proper facility to continue the great volunteer work you have been doing these past several years.
At least we can be assured that todays Air Force "takes care of it's own".
